Monday Made It {Summer Week 5}

Good Morning, y'all!  If you've been reading any of my posts lately, you know I've been enjoying a leisurely summer (and I hope that you are too)!  But now that July is almost here, it's kinda hit me that I need to get in gear and be somewhat productive this summer!  So I've gotten a few little projects completed that I wanted to share with you and I'm linking up with the fabulous Tara for her Monday Made It!

This past school year was a busy one and my house was getting seriously out of control!  I've been slooooowly going through my boys' rooms, tackling their dressers, closets, and endless supplies of toys (hello, Goodwill!).  The worst place though was their playroom.  I mean it literally looked like a Toys R Us exploded in there.  So I whipped up some little tags to label some of the baskets we used to organize toys (I mean we do this stuff at school, y'all, why not do it at home too, right?).

Another thing that was getting out of control was all of our paper piles.  I am super sentimental and want to save everything but let's face it, if it's faded or missing pieces, well it just needs to go.  I've seen lots of organization systems for keeping up with kids' stuff through the years but I decided to stick with the way I organize papers in my classroom.  So I created file boxes for each of my kids.  And I was totally inspired by Krista Wallden's freebie school clip art!  It's a pretty simple concept for a memory box (and I know some stuff won't fit) but it's a great start to organizing special keepsakes!

Finally, the last Made It is a FREEBIE for all of you (just click on the pics)!  The last school year required me to rely on my faith even more than ever and I often had specific Bible verses that I turned to for encouragement.  So I put together this scripture ring to keep in my classroom this upcoming year to encourage and uplift me.  I hope they do the same for you!  (And thanks to Megan for the adorable background papers that I used, you can get them here!)  I think they'd make adorable back to school gifts for your teammates too!

Have a blessed day!!!

  7. Thank you for the scripture ring! I will be making that to keep handy. I made my daughter a memory box last summer and although she's only 5, I love looking at all she's done so far in her schooling life!
